Dr Alice Pitout presented the latest advances from Prof. Jean-Christophe Bernhard’s team and the SurgAR team at the 2nd edition of the Journées d’Anatomie et de Chirurgie Robotique des internes de chirurgie digestive, gynécologie et urologie (JARCA), held in Nice on 17–18 October 2024. The event brought together surgical interns specialising in digestive, gynaecological, and urological surgery. Dr Pitout’s presentation showcased recent results in the use of augmented reality for renal surgery and opened a broader discussion on the future applications of artificial intelligence across all areas of abdominal surgery.
