The 8th Scientific Days of the  UroCCR Network  took place at the  Pôle Juridique et Judiciaire of Bordeaux University. This year, the event successfully gathered more than 130 researchers, clinicians, and partners to discuss significant advancements in kidney cancer research.

The two-day conference was opened by Prof. Jean-Christophe Bernhard, Prof. Pierre Bigot, and Prof. Romain Boissier, along with Prof. Alexandre de la Taille, President of the AFU, underscoring the strong collaboration between the two institutions.

The different scientific sessions provided updates on the UroCCR Network’s progress, ongoing projects, and innovations in surgery, biology, imaging and AI. Numerous collaborative projects have been presented, focusing especially on the optimisation of surgical results, active surveillance, adjuvant strategies, and radiomic approaches.

A distinguished roster of international experts delivered presentations, including: Prof. Andrew Hung (Cedars-Sinai), Philippe Spiess (Moffitt Cancer Center), Frédéric Pouliot (Québec-Université Laval University Hospital Centre), Alessandro Volpe (Maggiore della Carità Hospital in Novara) and Patrick Richard (Sherbrooke University).

A crucial segment of the event was a round table discussion, moderated by Vincent-Nicholas Delpech (CEO of  Bordeaux University Hospital Centre ) and Prof. Jean-Christophe Bernhard. The discussion centered on the role of the UroCCR Network in national strategies, featuring participation from key national bodies: Claire Morgand (French National Cancer Institute),
