🔬 I.CaRe Bordeaux at the Masterclass on minimally invasive urological surgical techniques.

On Wednesday, June 18 Prof. Jean-Christophe BERNHARD, urologist at Bordeaux University Hospital Centre and Director of the I.CaRe Bordeaux programme, participated at the Masterclass organised by Prof. Hervé Baumert at Groupement des Hôpitaux de l’Institut Catholique de Lille.

🎯 Objective: To teach the use of cutting-edge surgical technologies through interactive lectures and instructional videos, and to share practical, reproducible tips with participants to enhance their skills in minimally invasive urological surgery techniques.

During this event, Prof. Bernhard shared his expertise on two surgical techniques:

🔹 Robotic-assisted extended nephrectomy with inferior vena cava thrombectomy

🔹 Robotic-assisted partial nephrectomy, on- or off-clamp. The importance of preoperative imaging in reducing ischaemia during the nephron-sparing surgery.
